SpyGlass Monitoring can run on any platform that supports Java which includes Windows, Linux, Unix and MacOS etc. We have provided Windows installers for both the master server and the agent. If there is a demand for other installers for other operating systems they will be made available. At this time the installers will install to the C:. Again this will be fixed in future versions.

If you are interested in installing it on other platforms please let us know and we can assist you. We will be posting instructions for installation of the master server on other machines.

Note - Only the master server requires the database. Agents can be installed just by copying the war under tomcat.

Once the master server is installed you can get to it by using a browser and navigating to http://machine_ip:8080/spyglass/ . When the system is first installed you can login as admin the password is defaulted to admin. This is the default password if there are users in the system. Once you login start by creating a admin user the login that you used admin/admin is automatically deactivated.
